Pictures of Piet Hogervorst.
He was the enthusiastic man with the golden hands, who participated intensively in the technical preparation phases and who did most of the professional work on the lathe and milling machine.
Piet was a racer as well for a long period of time esp. in the European endurance races, winning the 6 hours of Zandvoort (NL circuit) on Bultaco (1966). On the B&W picture he is riding a Ducati 125 cc triple nocker (1962). On the B&W pictures left (1992) Piet is contemplating the model for the first generation 4-Valve desmo (Ducati 851). Without Piet – who was involved in the making of the desmomodels for about 7 years – all this wouldn’t have existed.
